The monopoly card lets you steal all of one type of resource from your opponents. If you waste it, you might end up stealing 1 or 2 cards, or none at all. But if you play it wisely, it can win you the game.
Catan Monopoly Tracker helps you play your monopoly card wisely.
When you get a monopoly card, open this app. Every time the dice are rolled, press the + button for each card your opponents pick up. When your opponents spend cards, press the - button for each card they give to the bank. Be patient, and wait until there's a large abundance of one type of resource, then play your monopoly card!

A: No, there is nothing in the Catan rules against keeping track of cards using your memory, paper, or even an app. Still, your friends might take exception to this, or they might use this app themselves to play monopoly against you, so we recommend keeping it secret!
Q: When is the best time to use my monopoly card?
A: When your opponents have lots of one type of card, especially if it's valuable. Usually, the best move is to wait until there are lots of settlements and cities built, so your opponents are picking up lots of cards, and then call monopoly on ore, since it's the most valuable late-game card.

A: We recommend you start tracking once you get your monopoly card, but by that point people will already have cards in their hands that you haven't tracked. So if you want to, you can start tracking as soon the game begins!
